Why I Added NFC Digital Invitation Card to bizlite?
I’ve been to my fair share of weddings—some of my closest friends, relatives, and, of course, those never-ending "distant family member" invitations that flood your WhatsApp.
But let me take you back a bit.
When I was a kid, every time I'd go out of city for a wedding function with my parents, we ended up misplacing the physical invitation card.
You know the one, with all the details like the address of the venue, time of the event, and sometimes a map.
And without that card, finding the location of the wedding venue? Forget about it. It was always a struggle.
Fast forward to today.
Now, it's our friends who are getting married, and while things have gone digital, it feels like the issue hasn’t really disappeared.
Digital invites get buried under a pile of WhatsApp messages, and when the day comes, we’re scrolling through chat histories, hoping to find that one message with the venue location.
Every time I’ve done this, I’ve thought, "Yaar, there has to be a better way!"
The Lightbulb Moment
That’s when it hit me—what if we could combine the convenience of digital invites with the charm of a keepsake, something that wouldn’t get lost in a sea of messages?
An invite that wasn’t just a quick note you’d forget about but something you could keep, remember, and revisit. Why be a hissa of the crowd when you can become a kissa (story)?
And that’s how I ended up creating NFC digital invitation cards—a modern, tech-savvy way to invite guests to your big day that combines nostalgia with innovation.
The idea was simple: create a card that looks and feels special, but with a tap, it would open up all the details right on your phone.
No more digging through messages or worrying about lost cards.
From Struggles to Solutions
For me, it wasn’t just about launching a product—it was about solving a real problem that I (and many others) had faced for years.
Weddings are special, and every little detail should reflect that, including the invitation.
Whether it’s the memory of searching for a lost venue or the hassle of hunting through WhatsApp chats, I wanted to create something that makes life easier while adding a touch of modern elegance to weddings.
A Keepsake, Not Just a Card
When I thought about weddings, I realized how important the invitation card really is.
It’s more than just a piece of paper with details. It’s the first thing people see about the wedding, and it sets the tone for the entire event.
Traditional invites can be beautiful, but let’s be honest, how many of us really keep them? Most of them get tossed out after the wedding is over.
That’s where NFC comes in.
With an NFC wedding card, you don’t just get an invite—you get a keepsake. Something your guests can hold on to, something that adds value beyond the wedding day.
Imagine being able to tap the card and instantly open the wedding details, watch a short video message from the bride and groom, or see the location in one click. It’s interactive, it’s memorable, and it doesn’t get lost in your WhatsApp messages!
